Brian M. Williams was born in Silver Spring, Maryland in 1977 and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1999 and received his Juris Doctor from Campbell University in 2002. While in law school, Mr. Williams studied at the University College of London, represented his school in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria, was the Case Law Editor of the Campbell Law Observer, the only student-run legal newspaper of its kind in the country, and was named to the Order of Barristers.

Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Williams joined Yates, McLamb & Weyher, LLP in the fall of 2002. His areas of practice include general insurance defense, construction litigation, products liability, premises liability, automobile liability, and subrogation. He also serves as the firm's recruiting coordinator. He is a member of the American, North Carolina and Wake County Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute (DRI), and the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys (NCADA). Mr. Williams currently serves on the Membership Committee for the NCADA and has served as co-chair for the Tenth Judicial District Bar Candidate Interview Committee since 2005. He is also a frequent lecturer for both insurance companies and corporations on various topics including loss control practices, accident investigations, and current trends in the law.

Mr. Williams and his wife Kelly live in Raleigh. In their spare time, they enjoy the outdoors, Carolina sporting events, and competing in sprint triathlons.
