Christopher West was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1970. Mr. West is the son of a career member of the United States Air Force and was raised in North Carolina. He graduated from East Carolina University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree and from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1996 with a Master of Public Administration degree. At Pennsylvania State University, Dickson School of Law, Mr. West was a member of the National Appellate Moot Court and National Trial Moot Court Teams. Upon graduation in 2000, he was selected as a member of the Order of the Barristers. After graduation, he accepted a position with Lewis & Roberts in Raleigh, North Carolina and practiced in the area of workers' compensation insurance defense. He joined Yates, McLamb & Weyher, LLP. in 2004 and has focused his practice on the defense of medical malpractice and nursing home liability cases. Mr. West has tried cases before the North Carolina Industrial Commission and the North Carolina Superior Court. He has also argued before the North Carolina Court of Appeals.

Mr. West is a member of the North Carolina State Bar Association, the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, the Defense Research Institute and the North Carolina Society of Healthcare Attorneys.

Mr. West enjoys the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and boating. He is married to Heather West and they reside in Clayton, North Carolina.
