RALEIGH, NC (February 9, 2012) – Partners Barry Cobb, John Minier and Rod Pettey have been named to the North Carolina Super Lawyers® 2012 list. Based on independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations, only five percent of all practicing attorneys in North Carolina are selected for inclusion. Cobb has been selected in the Medical Malpractice – Defense Lawyer section of Super Lawyers® for five consecutive years. He focuses his practice on the representation of physicians, hospitals, long-term care facilities and pharmaceutical companies. Cobb has taught seminars on medical negligence, risk management for healthcare providers, negotiation and mediation. Cobb is also listed in Best Lawyers in America® 2012 and has been selected as one of Business North Carolina magazine’s “Legal Elite” in the category of Litigation in 2008-2010 and 2012. Minier was chosen in the Medical Malpractice – Personal Injury Defense section for a third consecutive year. He dedicates his entire practice to medical malpractice defense, working with physicians, hospitals, nursing homes and individual nurses. He is also a 2012 member of Best Lawyers in America®. Pettey was selected in the Personal Injury section for a second consecutive year, and has been chosen in the Construction Litigation section from 2009-2011. He has been a member of the YMW management committee for the past three years. Pettey represents corporations and insurance companies in litigation involving products liability, construction disputes, catastrophic injury and trucking accidents.
