Erin McNeil
Young has been with the firm of Yates, McLamb & Weyher, LLP
since September of 1999. Mrs. Young was born on August 15,
1974 and is a native of Charlotte, N.C. She is a 1996 cum
laude graduate of the University of North Carolina at
Greensboro where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in
English and Political Science. She is also a 1999 graduate
of the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law where she was a member
of the Holderness Moot Court Negotiation Team. She was also
active in the Black Law Students Association and a 1997
recipient of the Gressman-Pollitt Award for oral advocacy.
Since joining the firm, Mrs. Young has concentrated her
practice in the areas of insurance
defense, including general liability and medical malpractice
defense. She is a member of the American Bar
Association, North Carolina Bar Association, (currently
serving as a council member and the Public Service co-Chair of the Litigation Section), Wake County Bar
Association, NC Association of Defense Attorneys, the
National Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, and
the 10th Judicial District Bar Candidate Review Committee.
Ms. Young is
married to Chris Young and enjoys spending time with her
family and traveling.
