Crystal B. Mezzullo grew up in Sanford, North Carolina.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University in 1999, where she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.  She received her J.D. from  Campbell University  in 2002.   While in law school, Mrs. Mezzullo  was an active trial team participant.  She was named to the Order of the Barristers and received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for excellence in trial advocacy as well as the Fred O. Dennis Award for distinguished representation of the School of Law to the community, profession, and public.

Following law school, Mrs. Mezzullo joined Yates, McLamb & Weyher, L.L.P.  originally in  2002 as an associate until she and her husband moved to New Bern, North Carolina.  She returned to the firm in 2011 and currently concentrates her practice in medical malpractice defense.   

She lives in Raleigh with her husband John and daughter Eleanor.
