Suzanne R. Walker grew up in Pine Level, North Carolina.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004.  She received her J.D. from the Norman A. Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University in 2007.  While in law school, Mrs. Walker was an active trial team participant and a member of the Honor Court as a student defense counsel.  She was named to the Order of the Barristers and received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for excellence in trial advocacy.

Following law school, Mrs. Walker joined the Raleigh office of Hedrick, Gardner, Kincheloe & Garofalo, L.L.P. where she practiced in the areas of automobile liability defense, construction litigation, and premises liability.  Mrs. Walker joined Yates, McLamb & Weyher, L.L.P. in 2011.  She currently concentrates her practice in medical malpractice defense and nursing home liability defense. 

Mrs. Walker and her husband, Bo, live in Raleigh and are active members of Hayes Barton United Methodist Church.  She is a volunteer with Communities in Schools of Wake County and enjoys golf, travel, cooking, and spending time at the beach.
