Practice Areas Environmental Liability

Toxic and environmental torts is an area of the law that covers a wide array of claims. The more common examples include allegations of lead paint, mold, indoor air quality issues, and water contamination and pollution but also include potentially bourgeoning areas such as improperly manufactured Chinese drywall. These claims may involve personal injury, wrongful death, and/or property damage and can take a variety of forms, such as a construction defect or a product defect claim. These claims also routinely involve the use of scientific and medical experts in order to properly investigate and defend.

Our prior experience in prior toxic tort cases, such as lead and mold cases, and our considerable experience in cases alleging personal injury from these conditions gives us a unique perspective on defending such cases. We have the local knowledge necessary to assess North Carolina jurisdictions as trial venues, and the background to explore the complex medical issues that often accompany personal injury claims from toxic and environmental tort claims.  We also have the staff and experience necessary to defend large, complex, and document intensive lawsuits.

We believe in providing efficient, effective representation, and we work to provide the very best service and advocacy for our clients and co-counsel.
