For over a quarter of a century, Yates, McLamb & Weyher, L.L.P., has provided zealous, proactive representation to civil-litigation defendants. In 1983, the founding partners of Yates, McLamb & Weyher, L.L.P., all formerly with a full-service law firm in Raleigh, started the firm with the goal of pursuing a more focused practice limited to the defense of civil litigation. During the firm's early years, its practice concentrated primarily on the defense of medical and legal liability, products liability, insurance coverage, and insurance fraud lawsuits. As additional partners joined the firm, the firm's practice expanded to included the defense of nursing home liability, construction defect, environmental and motor vehicle liability cases.

Over the years, the firm has grown significantly, but its vision has never changed. The founding partners started the firm with a commitment to vigorous representation, professionalism and putting the client first. This remains the firm's commitment.
