RALEIGH, NC (February 3, 2009) –  Lori Abel Meyerhoffer was a guest speaker at WakeMed Internal Medicine Grand Rounds on February 3, 2009, in Raleigh, North Carolina.  The lecture was well received by approximately 150 internal medicine and internal medical subspecialty physicians.  The topic was “Malpractice Prevention 101.”   The lecture included discussion on how to decrease the risk of being sued for malpractice, helpful suggestions for early dismissal if a physician becomes a named defendant, and optimizing the chances for a defense verdict if a physician is a named defendant.  In addition, common pitfalls of defending malpractice litigation were discussed.  An interactive question and answer period followed the lecture.
