Mr.
Gruman was born in Hickory, NC in 1979. He received his
Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in History from
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001.
After graduation, Mr. Gruman moved to Park City, UT for one
year before returning to law school. Mr. Gruman clerked for Yates,
McLamb, & Weyher and the Raleigh office of Cranfill, Sumner,
& Hartzog while in law school. Upon successful completion
of the North Carolina Bar, Mr. Gruman joined Yates, McLamb,
& Weyher in the Fall of 2005. He practices in the areas of
general liability and automobile liability defense,
including UM/UIM coverage issues.
While in law school, Mr.
Gruman was a finalist in the ABA Intramural Client
Counseling Competition, wrote for the Campbell Law Observer,
and received the book awards, given to the student who
achieves the highest grade in a particular class, for
Remedies and International Law.
Outside the office, Mr.
Gruman enjoys an active lifestyle that includes running,
biking, swimming, playing tennis, reading, playing guitar,
traveling, visiting with friends, and visiting Wrightsville
Beach.
