Founding Partners Voted to Top Lists

RALEIGH, NC (January 25, 2011) — Downtown Raleigh law firm Yates, McLamb & Weyher (YMW) today announced nine of its attorneys have been recognized by North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine, five as Super Lawyers and four as Rising Stars. Founding Partners Dan McLamb and Barbara “Bonnie” Weyher received additional accolades – McLamb was named to the Top Ten List for the fifth straight year (2007-2011), and Weyher, the immediate past North Carolina State Bar president, is listed in the Top 50 Women North Carolina Super Lawyers.

The selection process for Super Lawyers, which is published by Law & Politics and Key Professional Media, Inc., includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent evaluation of candidates, as well as a peer evaluation. For Rising Stars, lawyers are asked to nominate the best attorneys who are 40 years of age or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. They are instructed to nominate lawyers they have personally observed in action, whether as opposing counsel or co-counsel, or through other firsthand courtroom observation. Only five percent of the attorneys in each state are recognized by Super Lawyers.
